Ronan Hussar, ’26 BS Finance and Accounting

Ronan is an incoming junior pursuing a double major in finance and accounting in the Whitman School of Management and a double minor in computer science and logic in the Engineering School. He gained his tenacious and intrepid spirit growing up in Chicago, where he ran cross-country, powerlifted, and played travel basketball. His passion for business was born out of long talks with his dad about the challenges of small business ownership. Flash forward to college, and Ronan has become the Vice President of Finance at his fraternity and holds an executive board position at SU’s Real Estate Club (and remains an avid runner). Both positions have ignited a desire to lead organizations and tackle challenging projects. As for his career interests, he loves numbers and data (hence his heavily quantitative course load). One of the things he’s most enjoyed about finance is the story it tells on a spreadsheet, and especially how the information and outcomes are affected by different assumptions. Ronan will be developing his Honor’s thesis this summer on a topic that melds his dual interests in software and finance. He looks forward to honing his unique and creative approach to investing in the Orange Value Fund.
